notes: Ed sings two lines of ‘Release’ a capella before ‘Alive,’ and during Mike’s solo at the end he strips off

his shirt and dives into the crowd. Ed says the band was thinking about moving to Philadelphia, sick of all the

Seattle hype, and Jeff adds, “That’s only because [Charles] Barkley lives here.” Ed starts asking for Sir

Charles, saying he’s on the list that night. The fans shout out, “1, 2, 3, 4!” for the start of ‘Porch.’ Ed

scales a wall during the jam and edges his way along the balcony. He makes his way to the other side, where he

falls backwards (a la the ‘Even Flow’ video) into the waiting crowd’s hands, who carry him back to the stage just

in time for the end of the jam section. During ‘Leash,’ Ed scales a crew member wearing a cape and hat and sings

second half of the song from atop his shoulders. Fantastic show.

Here is a copy of the first Pearl Jam show I ever attended.  I drove all the way from Maryland to attend with my best friend, who lived in St. Petersburg at the time. (He still does in fact.)  It was a hot and windy day and Pearl Jam was one of many bands at the show.  But this set was the reason I was there.  Of special note for me was that during Evenflow, I tossed Eddie my baseball cap and he wore it briefly before dropping it to the stage floor.  I'll never forget it, and this footage captures the moment.  I left for home the day after this concert, and Hurricane Andrew (mentioned by Eddie during the set) trailed me all the way home

Notes:Missing first part of Wash, Breath, I've Got A Feeling. The video is a little dark specially when the camera zoom out. The date is wrong 10.10.1991.

It takes a while for Ed to warm up to the crowd but then he gets chatty, talking about how they haven’t been to Texas before, how they stole Dave from Dr. Tongue (“tough shit”) and asks if Tom Landry is there. He tells about the Singles movie and how the next song is from the movie (‘State of Love and Trust’). During ‘Alive’ he climbs up a speaker stack and jumps off, later pulling off a shoe and looking at it saying, “I’m not getting enough air out of my Air Jordan’s.” A cool version of ‘Garden’ features full harmonies by Jeff and Stone and Mike’s sweet guitar solo. Then Ed asks if Tom Landry is “… here tonight? He was on our guest list, huh? This is for Cowboy fans,” leading to ‘Deep.’ ‘Jeremy’ has a nice jam and Ed explains the Jeremy story, asking the crowd if they know where Richardson, Texas is and how Jeremy shot himself in front of his English class. “Maybe he should have just ran away … why go home? He says, “Almost all our titles are one word,” leading to ‘Black.’ He counts off the “1, 2, 3, 4? lead-in to ‘Porch’ while Mike is still untangling his guitar cord and trying to plug it in.
